Perseverance-Pastor Tips
Pastor’s Tip January 2020
“Perseverance”
Zechariah 4:10- “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin”
Starting up a Church or a Ministry is never easy, but this scripture encourages us to just begin! That the Lord rejoices just to see the work begin, and we know that anything that He rejoices in He will be faithful and cause it to multiply if we continue to be diligent and persevere in the work.
Although it may start off with few, Luke 16:10 tells us that “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.” So, as you continue to prove yourself to God by your faithfulness, your commitment, and your obedience to what He has called you to do, even in the tough times, even when it looks as if nothing is happening, in due season He will send the increase. Remember, the race is not given to the swift, it’s given to the one who endures to the end.
What we strive to hear from our Master, our Lord is what is stated in Matthew 25:23 “Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things, enter into the joy of your master.” What greater joy to have than the joy of the Lord, but I presume this scripture is more than just an emotion or a state of being, but a place that entails more than just an emotional experience or gladness but also a manifestation of things. That word “enter” means you’re entering into something, which is something greater. You’re entering into His joy; and the scripture states “It is His good pleasure to give us the Kingdom” it brings Him joy. The Kingdom of God is composed of many things: joy, peace, prosperity, abundance, provision, blessings, etc. So you see, the greater is not only spiritual things but also tangible things that we can obtain in the earthly realm.
I want to encourage you all today to keep persevering, keep striving for excellence, in your homes, in your ministries, in the marketplace because God is rejoicing to see that the work has begun and He will be faithful to complete it!
Kingdom Blessings!
